Meet the Team

Jess attended Milton Academy before receiving her B.A. from Connecticut College, where she completed a triple major in English, French, and GSIS (Gender, Sexuality, and Intersectionality Studies) and graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Honors. Within her collegiate career, Jess spent two years studying literature abroad at the University of Edinburgh, the Middlebury School in Paris, and the Sorbonne Nouvelle. She is currently working on her Masters in Literature with a concentration in creative writing.
An award-winning and internationally-published poet, Jess is the author of two full-length collections and a co-founder of The Spotlong Review, a literary magazine based in NYC. A recipient of the TAPIF Fellowship, a teaching apprenticeship awarded by the French government, she currently resides in Paris where she teaches ESL at the middle and high-school levels as well as creative writing at the American University of Paris.
